<p>PURPOSE:To measure a blood flow condition correctly without relying on the regions and directions of the blood vessels at the fundus of an eye under examination by detecting a code identification area for the max. Doppler shift value. CONSTITUTION:The laser light beam emitted by a laser light source 54 for measurement falls on an eye E of the examined and reflected from the fundus E of the eye; the reflected light beam is then received by two photomultipliers 33 through three optical fibers disposed after a slit mirror 30 and taken in by a system controller 60 for measuring Doppler shift values and such measurement is performed by switching combination of two optical fibers at option so that the code reversal area is detected by comparing a plurality of the measurement results.</p> |
