<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of releasing/recovering the nip of a fixing roller and a pressure roller. CONSTITUTION:In the case the jamming of a recording material is detected by a sensor arm (not illustrated) installed on the ejection side of the nip part between the fixing roller 17 and the pressure roller 18, a motor (not illustrated) for driving the fixing device, etc., is reversely rotated, a swing gear 15c is engaged with a tooth-lacked internal gear 15i through gears 15a, 15b and a swing arm 15g, then, a gear 15e is rotated. And by rotating a gear 15k which is set so as to be rotated at a prescribed reduction ratio to the tooth-lacked gear 15e, a mangle gear 30 is rotated so as to release the nip by a torsion bar 18a. Thereafter, in the case of detecting by the sensor arm that the recording material is removed, the motor is rotated forwards, and the torsion bar 18a is returned by taking a reverse procedure, then, the nip is recovered to the original state.</p> |
