The present invention makes it possible to distinguish between signals from a plurality of scintillator elements. This scintillation light detecting device includes: a scintillator array 10 in which are arranged a plurality of scintillator elements having mutually different decay time constants for emitted light generated as a result of an incident radiation event; and a photomultiplier tube 14 which receives light output from the plurality of scintillator elements in the scintillator array, and converts the light into an electrical signal. In relation to the event, an arithmetic processing device 18 detects a peak value in a voltage waveform of the electrical signal from the photomultiplier tube 14, and an integrated charge quantity, and identifies the scintillator element in the scintillator array to which the electrical signal, resulting from the incidence of radiation onto the scintillator element, is attributable, in accordance with the ratio between the detected peak value and the integrated electric charge quantity. |
