A lidar unit 100 generates a polar-coordinate-space frame Fp from a segment signal Sseg of segments prior to conversion to point group information. The lidar unit 100 then generates an averaged frame Fa in which the polar-coordinate-space frame Fp is averaged along a temporal direction, and causes a display 4 to display an orthogonal-coordinate-space frame Fo in whcih the averaged frame Fa is coordinate-converted to an orthogonal-coordinate space.
