Provided are an instrument operation device, an instrument operation method, and an electronic instrument system, whereby required operations can be easily performed using line-of-sight and gestures and whereby there are few restrictions on instrument arrangement. This endoscope system (10) does not require actual touching of a keyboard, mouse, or buttons in order to operate an endoscope device (100) and, as a result, instruments do not need to be swapped between hands and gloves do not need to be put on and taken off, etc., in a medical setting and required operations can be easily performed using line-of-sight and gestures. In addition, there is no need to provide a keyboard, mouse, or buttons for operating the endoscope device and there are few restrictions on instrument arrangement. Furthermore, the operation instrument and a virtual object corresponding to the operation are displayed virtually and, as a result, it is easy to understand which virtual object the operation should be performed on. |
