A terminal (200), comprising a touch screen (210), a controller (220) connected to the touch screen (210) and at least one touch control unit (230); the touch control unit (230) comprises a detection electrode (232), a sensing electrode (234) and a wire (236) connecting the detection electrode (232) to the sensing electrode (234); the detection electrode (232) is located outside the touch control region of the touch screen (210), while the sensing electrode (234) is located inside the touch control region of the touch screen (210), the sensing electrode (234) being coupled to at least one capacitance node (212) in the touch screen (210); the present invention utilizes the capacitance node (212) existing in the touch screen (210) to identify a touch control operation of a user on the detection electrode (232) disposed outside the touch screen (210), and controls the terminal (200) according to the touch control operation, thus further expanding the number of terminal keys and control method with little space and cost.
