PURPOSE:To eliminate feelings of inconvenience from ordinary home users by preferentially limiting the operation of equipment in rooms where nobody exists and not limiting as much as possible the operation of equipment in rooms where someone exists. CONSTITUTION:A main controller 14 checks whether or not the total demand current value of a home reported from a demand controller 4 exceeds a prescribed cautious level and, when the value exceeds the cautious level, the controller 14 checks whether or not someone exists in the home based on the information from a human sensor 21 connected to terminal equipment 18a for sensor. When a room is found to be empty, the controller 14 informs each terminal equipment of commands for inhibiting new operation of equipment in such room through home buses 13a-13n. Then the controller 14 checks whether or not the total demand current value exceeds a limit level and, when the value exceeds the limit level, the controller 14 stops the operation of the equipment in the empty room. Therefore, the usefulness of this demand control system is improved. |
