Storage-stable injectable mesna solutions with a pH value higher than 7.5 are described together with a method of manufacture. At this pH, mesna (HS-CH2-CH2-SO3Na) is stable and is thus more readily useable for example in protecting the urinary organs in the treatment of tumour diseases with ifosfamide.
