This fan device comprises an electric rotating body drive circuit provided with a circuit unit which generates a drive signal for an electric rotating body, an output stage provided with an upper-stage side MOSFET and a lower-stage side MOSFET, and a motor unit driven by the output stage, the fan device being further provided with: an inverse electromotive force supply unit which, with respect to a brake-side MOSFET which is one of the upper-stage side MOSFET and the lower-stage side MOSFET and a non-brake side MOSFET which is the other thereof, supplies the brake-side MOSFET with power resulting from an inverse electromotive force produced by the rotation of the motor unit, in state in which no power supply voltage for the electric rotating body is being supplied; and an electromagnetic brake unit which, using the power supplied by the inverse electromotive force supply unit, performs electromagnetic braking of the motor unit by turning on the brake-side MOSFET. |
