A coin handling apparatus provided with a coin storage unit 60 that stores coins of different denominations separately after these coins are received and sorted, said coin storage unit 60 being provided with: a storage body 51 provided with a plurality of retention tube units 511, each retention tube unit 511 having an inner diameter such that the retention tube unit 511 can store the largest in diameter of the coins to be stored in the coin storage unit 60; and spacer members 52, each of which can be detachably mounted in a respective one of the plurality of retention tube units 511 in such a manner that the apparent inner diameter of the retention tube unit 511, which is formed by the inner surface of the retention tube unit 511 and the spacer member 52, is such that the coins to be stored in the retention tube unit 511 are permitted to enter therein. |
