PURPOSE: To simplify the configuration of a fuel control system by determining the fuel requisite condition of an engine using a reference table on the basis of the output of a pressure sensor to monitor the internal pressure of an air intake manifold. CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensor 20 is installed so as to detect the air pressure in an air intake manifold 12 located between a throttle blade 16 and an engine 10, and the given electric signals are fed to a microprocessor 24 through a signal filter 22. The air amount sucked in each suction stroke is decided from the momentary value of the manifold pressure upon checking the dynamic characteristic of the engine, and from this suction air amount obtained, the proper amount of fuel required to make efficient engine operations is determined. Through a buffer amplifier 26, a fuel amount adjusting device 28 is controlled on the basis of the determined fuel amount, and the fuel from a fuel source such as fuel tank 30 is regulated and sent to a fuel feed mechanism 32.
