PURPOSE:To make a fringe small by executing alkaline developing with the aid of contacting and rotating a flocked roll, where prescribed soft and fine fur is planted in prescribed high density, in an opposite direction to a roll to be processed while it is immersed in alkaline developer. CONSTITUTION:The fine fur of the flocked roll 16 applies the alkaline developer to the photosensitive film of the roll to be processed R while the contact pressure thereof is minimized and it is slided and brought to contact with the identical part of the photosensitive film many times and moved little by little. The alkaline developer is selectively infiltrated in the soft part of the photosensitive film where photosetting reaction does not occur. When the soft part is swollen, the dissolution thereof is started and the dissociation thereof from the surface of the roll is executed, a resist image is formed. The fine fur carries out an action that the foreign matter of resist which is sufficiently softly swollen is eliminated in a process that the resist image is formed. Besides, the alkaline developer is more effectively rubbed in and applied to the soft part which is newly exposed. Since the alkaline developer is rubbed in and applied by sliding and contacting the fine fur in such a way, the fringe is minimized to 2 - 3 micron. |
