PURPOSE:To obtain normal image output by applying scrambling to image data after reading a transmission image and converting it to the image data, compressing and transmitting the data after attaching a scramble code, printing received data as receiving the scrambling on recording paper, and recovering a scrambled part after reception. CONSTITUTION:A discrimination part 16 switches a circuit to a scrambling part 13 when a confidential function mode is set, and the image data of an original image read by a reading part 1 is sent to the scrambling part 13, and it is scrambled at the scrambling part 13, and data compression(encoding) is performed at a data compression part 2. Meanwhile, a password number is inputted from an input part 10, and is stored(preset) in a storage part 12 via a control part 9, and a discrimination part 15 compares the password number stored in the storage part 12 with that of an incoming confidential document when the confidential document arrives. When coincidence between the password numbers is obtained, the discrimination part 15 sends the image data to a scrambling recovery part 14, and the image data is recovered to original image data at the scrambling recovery part 14, and is print-outputted as the normal image data at a recording part 7. |
