1. A method for communicating data about a consumable component installed in a processing head of a material processing system, the method comprising:
installing the consumable component in the processing head, the consumable component having an RFID device, the RFID device being configured to store data about the consumable component, the material processing system being one of a plasma cutting system, a waterjet cutting system, or a laser cutting system; reading the stored data about the consumable component from the RFID device by a reading device in the processing head during material processing by the processing head; and transmitting, by the material processing system, the stored data about the consumable component installed in the processing head to an internet-based cloud-computing network.
