The refrigerator includes a cabinet having a storage compartment, a door hingedly connected to the cabinet for opening and closing the storage compartment, a drawer provided in the storage compartment, a sensor for sensing whether the door is open, an electric driving unit including a moving frame, the electric driving unit being configured to move the drawer to a manipulating position spaced apart forward from an initial position by a predetermined distance through forward movement of the moving frame when it is sensed that the door is open, and a rail configured to allow the drawer to move forward and rearward relative to the storage compartment, wherein the electric driving unit is driven to return the moving frame to the initial position after the moving frame is moved to the manipulating position.

1. A refrigerator comprising:
a cabinet having a storage compartment; a door hingedly connected to the cabinet for opening and closing the storage compartment; a drawer provided in the storage compartment; a sensor for sensing whether the door is open; an electric driving unit comprising a motor assembly and a moving frame configured to be movable forward and rearward by driving of the motor assembly, the electric driving unit being configured to move the drawer to a manipulating position spaced apart forward from an initial position by a predetermined distance through forward movement of the moving frame when it is sensed that the door is open; and a rail configured to allow the drawer to move forward and rearward relative-to the storage compartment, wherein the electric driving unit is driven to return the moving frame to the initial position after the moving frame is moved to the manipulating position.
