A processor may be configured to access mapping data for a route to a destination, as well as information associated with a mobile device that may include usage data of the mobile device, a user profile associated with the mobile device, or demographic data associated with a user of the mobile device. The route to the destination may be displayed along with an indicator of the predicted coverage for the mobile device along the route.

a mobile device that operates with a wireless network; and a network device communicatively connected with the mobile device, the network device comprising:
a processor; anda memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising executable instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:
receiving a request for directions for the mobile device to a destination;based on the request for directions to the destination, determining wireless coverage for the mobile device along at least two different routes to the destination; andselecting a route of the at least two different routes based on the wireless coverage along the at least two different routes to the destination; andproviding directions associated with the selected route.
