FLUCCULATION AND FILTER AID AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To enhance flocculability and separability of the relatively large granular suspended solids by preparing a flocculating and filtering assistant by solid particles of an org. polycationic polymer of a prescribed size which is insoluble in a soln. to be cleared. CONSTITUTION: The solid particles of the org. polycationic polymer of which the greater part is insoluble in the soln. to be cleared and which is solid having cationic finish on at least surface and has the size to allow bonding of the suspended particles or granular impurity to be separated and removed are formed and are used as the flocculating and filtering assistant. The flocculating and filtering assistant which contains a flocculation active quaternary ammonium base and/or basic amino group in a fixed form on at least the particle surfaces thereof is more adequate.
