Method of modelling cast objects of exact inner fit and film for carrying out this method

In a series of dental methods, in particular in the production of secondary parts from primary parts, an exact modelling of the inner fit is required. On account of great inaccuracies, the technically simple thermoforming process cannot be used here. The method according to the invention compensates for these inaccuracies in that a thermoformed cap produced with oversize by the usual technique is adapted in its inner space exactly to the outer form of the primary part by the gap between cap and primary part being filled with a plastic material which bonds as it hardens with the outer thermoformed part. By this method, much more time-consuming modelling techniques can be replaced while at the same time achieving improved accuracy.
