PURPOSE:To obtain uniform images when thermal development photosensitive materials are used to form images, by providing a heating guide plate which photosensitive materials pass following a heat roll. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material 14 and an image receiving material 26 are put one over the other, and they pass heat rolls 340, 342, 344, 346, 348, and 350 and are heated while approximated to heating guide plates 352, 354, and 356, and diffusive coloring matters are transferred from the photosensitive material 14 to the image receiving material 26. In this case, an auxiliary guide plate 370 which is not heated is provided between first heat rolls 340 and 342, which materials 14 and 26 put one over the other first pass, and the first heating guide plate 352 which they pass following said first heat rolls 340 and 342. Thus, prescribed or more heat is prevented from being applied to the photosensitive material 14 to reduce the unevenness.
