PURPOSE:To transmit information to a stored item and a customer when the information from a weighing part is held within a + or - definite range of a zero point for a predetermined time and when a state other than a weighing state continues for a predetermined time, by preliminarily storing an item to be displayed and displaying the same when an article name is set or when there is the information from the weighing part. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is closed, a memory is cleared and I/O is subjected to initial setting. A registering mode is confirmed from a dip switch 20 and it is known whether display is necessary by a registering mode change-over switch 7 and, when display is unnecessary, balance information is read to be processed and, after 16sec, light is allowed to extinct and this operation is repeated. When display is necessary, power failure is detected after balance information becomes stable. Subsequently, when the registering mode change-over switch 7 is in an ON-state, the processing due to a front key 4 or a remote key 14 is performed to clear a display flag. When there is no key operation, balance information is processed and, when a condition not satisfying below + or -20g with respect a zero point continues for 10sec in a weighing mode, a message display flag is erected and the net wt. or a price is calculated to be displayed. A specific message is preliminarily stored in RAM 18. By this constitution, an article name display device 13 is utilized to make it possible to perform message display to a customer.
