PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body capable of continuous copying in many times without any restoration operation and superior in oxidation resistance and mechanical strength by incorporating a hydrazone type compd. and a carbozole type compd. in a carrier transfer phase. CONSTITUTION:A carrier transfer phase contains a hydrazone type compd., such as a compd. of formula II, represented by general formula I in which R<1> is optionally substd. naphthyl; R<2>, R<4>, R<5> are each optionally substd. alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl; and R<3> is H, alkyl, or alkoxy. It also contains a carbazole compd., such as compd. of formula IV, represented by general formula III in which R<6>, R<7> are each H, halogen, optionally substd. alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, aryl, amino, or OH; R<8>, R<9> are each optionally substd. alkyl or optionally substd. aryl; and Ar is an optionally substd. divalent carbon aromatic ring group or O or S- contg. heterocyclic aromatic group. A photosensitive body is formed by combining this carrier transfer phase with a carrier generating phase, and it has little electric fatigue, a very long use life, especially long continuous use life, on the contrary to many conventional photosensitive bodies. |
