PURPOSE:To efficiently introduce air for preventing the separation of a boundary layer, by conducting the incoming air from a front grille to the rear part of an automobile body through air guide passages extending from air inlet ports in the front part along side pillars and the side edges of the roof. CONSTITUTION:Air flowing into the front part 2 of a vehicle through its front grille 5 on account of the movement of the vehicle enters into air guide passages 17 through air inlet ports 16 and flows through the parts 6, 6', 7, 7' of the passages along side pillars and the side edges of the roof 3 so that the air is ejected from the top edge 8 and right and left side edges 9, 9' of the rear part 4 of the vehicle along the outside surface of the rear part. Other air having flowed from the outside surface of the front part 2 to that of the rear part 4 along that of the roof 3 is pressurize by the air ejected from the top edge 8 and side edges 9, 9' of the rear part so that a boundary layer is maintained along the outside surface of the rear part and the pressurized air smoothly flows rearwards instead of making swirls. This constitution enables the efficient introduction of the air for preventing the separation of the boundary layer, without producing any adverse effect on the outline of the vehicle body. |
