PURPOSE:To enable to decrease nitric oxide in exhaust gas at the time of ignition to a burner, by opening both of a main valve on the side of fuel and an air resister, about the same time, completing the opening action of the above- mentioned valve in an early period, and by gradually opening the air resister by a following action. CONSTITUTION:A burner unit, installed in a combustion furnace, is provided with a driving unit 6 to feed and shut off a fuel 9 and a spray medium 10 by opening and closing a main valve 7 on the side of fuel and a main valve 8 on the side of a spray medium, a driving unit 5 which feeds and shuts off a combustion air 11 by opening and closing air resisters 4, and a fuel gun 3, to which end a flame holder 2, located in the neighborhood of burner throats 1, is fitted. With such an arrangement, the main valve 7 on the side of fuel and the air resisters 4 are opened about the same time, when the burner is ignited. The opening action of said valve 7 is completed in a comparatively early time, while the air resister 4 is gradually opened at a low speed by a following action. |
