1. A brake device for a vehicle, comprising:
a brake drum comprising a friction surface; a first brake shoe disposed inside the brake drum and comprising a first shoe surface configured to face a first portion of the friction surface; a second brake shoe disposed inside the brake drum and comprising a second shoe surface configured to face a second portion of the friction surface; a motor positioned inside the brake drum; a rotation member operably connected to the motor for rotation about an axis and comprising a first set of threads configured to threadedly engage with a second set of threads for converting rotation of the rotation member about the axis to a linear movement of the second set of threads along the axis; a first push rod extending between a first distal end and a first proximal end, the first distal end connected to the first brake shoe, the first proximal end comprising the second set of threads threadediy engaged with the first set of threads of the rotation member; a second push rod extending between a second distal end and a second proximal end, the second distal end connected to the second brake shoe; a length adjustment mechanism comprising a connection part and a control part, the connection part comprising a third set of threads, the control part comprising a fourth set of threads threadedly engaged with the third set of threads of the connection part such that the control part and the connection part linearly move relative to each other along the axis to change a combined length of the control part and the connection part in the axis; and a case surrounding the rotation member and comprising a protrusion protruding in a direction away from the first push rod, the protrusion connected to the connection part of the length adjustment mechanism; wherein the first brake shoe, the first push rod, the rotation member, the length adjustment mechanism, the second push rod and the second brake shoe are arranged in order along the axis such that as the combined length changes a distance between the first and second brake shoes is adjusted, wherein as the rotation member rotates about the axis by operation of the motor, set of threads of the rotation member is configured to rotate relative to the second set of threads of the first push rod and to cause the first push rod to linearly move along the axis relative to the rotation member for braking or debraking action of the first brake shoe, wherein the case is configured to not rotate about the axis by operation of the motor or rotation of the rotation member and accordingly configure to not rotate the connection part of the length adjustment mechanism, wherein, as the first push rod to linearly move along, the axis relative to the rotation member, the length adjustment mechanism and the second push rod linearly move along, the axis relative to the first push rod. |
