1. A method of identifying a candidate Xanthomonas-derived transcription activator-like effector (TALE) activator binding site, the method comprising:
selecting a target gene; identifying one or more subsequences of the target gene sequence, wherein:
the subsequence is within a regulatory region of the target gene;the subsequence is within a DNase I hypersensitive region of the regulatory region of the target gene,the subsequence is 18-24 nucleotides long; and selecting the one or more subsequences as candidate TALE-activator binding sites. |
