Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of hand, foot, and transmission gear in conjunction with.- Comprises a road vehicle having a pair of selfcontained power units disposed substantially centrally between the front and rear axles and connected to individual driving wheels by gear means individual to each engine, wherein means are provided which enable either power unit to drive its associated wheel singly or both power units to drive their associated wheels simultaneously. The invention is described in Specification 309,984 as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), and is shown more particularly in Figs. 1, 3, 4, 10, 14 - - 17, of the drawings accompanying that Specification. The throttles of the two internalcombustion engines which drive independent rear road wheels are separately controlled by two pedals situated close together so that the driver can operate them simultaneously with one foot or separately as desired. The friction clutches are simultaneously controlled by a single pedal, and the change-speed gears, when such are used, are normally controlled by a single hand-lever, but the selector mechanism of either gear can be disconnected from the hand-lever so that only the gear still connected to the hand-lever is operated thereby, the other being left in neutral and its power unit thus disconnected from the corresponding road wheel.
