摘要 A digital broadcast communication system includes a transceiver configured to receive a preamble having one of at least four preamble patterns characterized by a bit pattern and a length, produce the received preamble to each of at least four preamble correlator circuits, and at each correlator circuit, compare the received preamble to a reference code pattern. If a specified level of correlation exists between the received preamble and the reference code, produce an indication that the comparison was favorable. In one embodiment, the transceiver includes 16 correlator circuits and further includes 128 preamble reference codes for detecting preambles that have control, synchronization or data content.

A transceiver, comprising: digital processing circuitry configured to generate digital transmission formatted data based upon outgoing data; digital processing circuitry configured to produce inbound data based on digital reception formatted data; radio circuitry configured to produce the digital reception formatted data based on a received RF signal wherein the transceiver is further configured to, for ingoing digital reception data; receive a preamble sequence having one of at least four preamble patterns characterized by a bit pattern and a length; produce the received preamble sequence to each of at least four preamble correlator circuits; at each correlator circuit, compare the received preamble sequence to a reference code pattern in parallel; and if a specified level of correlation exists between the received preamble sequence and the reference code at one of the at least four preamble circuits, produce an indication that the comparison was favorable.
