SYNTHETIC GENE AND PRODUCTION OF PEPTIDE HAVING ACTIVITY OF INHIBITING CANCER METASTASIS USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a novel synthetic gene which codes a peptide having a specific amino acid sequence and cancer metastasis inhibitory activity and is incorporated into an expression vector to express the transformation of the host cells, thus can produce the peptide having the cancer metastasis inhibitory activity. CONSTITUTION:This novel synthetic gene has the base sequence of formula II which codes a peptide including the amino acid sequence represented by formula I and having cancer metastasis inhibitory activity. This gene is designed and synthesized by using the codons which are frequently used in the cell bodies of Schizosaccharomyces pombe (ATCC 38399) and can be used in the production of the peptide having the cancer metastasis inhibitory activity through the gene recombination technique. This synthetic gene is obtained by using an automatic DNA synthesizer, as the base sequence of the gene coding the peptide of the formula I which is already confirmed to have the inhibitory activity is matched to the codon using frequency of Schizosaccaromyces pombe.
