The electronic device includes: a transceiver configured to receive, from at least one wearable device, information indicating whether the at least one wearable device is being worn; and a processor configured to determine whether the at least one wearable device that is being worn, based on the received information indicating whether the at least one wearable device is being worn, and to provide a notification to the at least one wearable device in response to determining that the at least one wearable device is being worn.

1. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer executable instructions that are executable to perform a method of providing a notification from an electronic device to a wearable device capable of communicating with the electronic device, the method comprising:
obtaining information indicating that the wearable device is being used; determining that the wearable device is being used based on the information indicating that the wearable device is being used; providing the notification to the wearable device based on determining that the wearable device is being used; providing the notification via the electronic device; and canceling the providing of the notification via the electronic device based on the wearable device indicating that the notification is accessed by a user using the wearable device.
