The device includes a touch sensor configured to sense at least one touch; a pressure sensor configured to sense at least one pressure; and a controller configured to sense a grip pattern on the electronic device using the touch sensor and the pressure sensor, and to control a predetermined function according to the grip pattern.

1. An electronic device comprising:
a touch screen disposed on a front of the electronic device; a touch sensor configured to sense at least one touch on at least two different lateral sides of the electronic device; a pressure sensor configured to sense at least one pressure on the at least two different lateral sides of the electronic device; and a controller configured to determine a grip pattern, and a time period for which the grip pattern is maintained, on the electronic device using the touch sensor and the pressure sensor, and to control a predetermined function according to the grip pattern and the time period, wherein the controller determines the grip pattern on the electronic device based on the sensed at least one touch and the sensed at least one pressure on the at least two different lateral sides of the electronic device, and wherein the controller changes a first screen to a second screen rotated from the first screen, based on a change of the grip pattern.
