An apparatus for separating particles, wherein particles traveling through the apparatus are separated into two or more groups based on one or more of the following: inertial characteristic differences and aerodynamic characteristic differences between the particles such that at least one of the two or more groups of particles exits an interior void volume portion of the apparatus wherein the entirety of the particles that exit the interior void volume portion of the apparatus, are treated and the entirety of the treated particles are reintroduced into the same interior void volume portion of the apparatus at the apparatus' particle inlet as the particles travel through the apparatus, wherein the apparatus is void of a macerator such that the particles do not contact a macerator. |
