Antibody-light fusion products for cancer therapeutics

Antibody-LIGHT fusion products or conjugates stimulate immunity against tumors and eradicate metastases. Tumor-specific antibodies coupled with LIGHT effectively target metastatic tumors and reduces cancer metastases.

1. A method of reducing the growth of a primary tumor or cancer metastasis in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising:
(a) administering to the subject a composition comprising a tumor specific antibody linked to a fragment of a human LIGHT protein to the subject, wherein the LIGHT fragment is resistant to protease digestion and is sufficient to stimulate tumor specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes against the tumor cells; (b) delivering a nucleic acid molecule encoding LIGHT or a fragment thereof to the primary tumor; and (c) stimulating the tumor-specific cytotoxic T-lymphocytes against the tumor or its metastases to reduce to the growth of the primary tumor or cancer metastasis.
