A method of treating epilepsy or an epilepsy-related symptom comprising administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need of treating epilepsy, wherein the epilepsy is not pediatric epilepsy: wherein the relative configuration at the carbon atoms bearing the asterisk (*) is (S); X is a chlorine, fluorine or iodine; n is 1 or 2; R1 is methyl group; A is a carbamoyl derivative represented by B is hydrogen; and R2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group of C1-C4, a cycloalkyl group of C3-C8, and benzyl group.
