An imaging apparatus, comprising: a plurality of lens units; a plurality of pixels, including: red charge storage sections, wherein the red charge storage sections hold a charge obtained by photoelectric conversion on a light component with a red wavelength;blue charge storage sections, wherein the blue charge storage sections hold a charge obtained by photoelectric conversion on a light component with a blue wavelength; andgreen charge storage sections, wherein the green charge storage sections hold a charge obtained by photoelectric conversion on a light component with a green wavelength,wherein the red charge storage sections, the blue charge storage sections, and the green charge storage sections are arranged in different positions respectively within the plurality of pixels,wherein a first vertical electrode of a transfer transistor for at least one of the blue charge storage sections is formed to extend from a surface on a side opposite to a light incident surface of the plurality of pixels to the blue charge storage sections, and a second vertical electrode of a transfer transistor for at least one of the green charge storage sections is formed to extend from the surface on the side opposite to the light incident surface of the plurality of pixels to the green charge storage sections, andwherein a saturation charge amount of the green charge storage sections is larger than each of a saturation charge amount of the red charge storage sections and the blue charge storage sections.
