1. A patient support system comprising
a patient support apparatus including a lower frame, an upper frame movable relative to the lower frame, a deck coupled to the upper frame and having at least one deck section movable relative to the upper frame, a siderail movable between a raised and a lowered position, and a plurality of sensors configured to detect the position of the upper frame and the position of the at least one deck section, and a scale system configured to weigh a patient supported on the patient support apparatus, and a control system including a user interface and a controller coupled to the plurality of sensors and the scale system, the controller configured upon receipt of an input associated with the scale system to cause an icon to be displayed on the user interface, the icon graphically indicative of patient support apparatus component movement needed for proper operation of the scale system, graphically indicative of a direction of the patient support apparatus component movement needed for proper operation of the scale system, and graphically indicative of needed movement of the siderail for proper operation of the scale system.
