1. An apparatus for detecting a lesion, the apparatus comprising:
a memory configured to store instructions; and at least one processor, that upon executing the stored instructions, is configured to:
partition an image into a plurality of regions by performing an image segmentation,compare feature information of the partitioned plurality of regions to feature information of at least one tissue region,determine at least one region corresponding to a pre-specified type of at least one tissue region having a higher chance of having lesions than another tissue region among the partitioned plurality of regions as a lesion detection candidate region, anddetect a lesion from the determined lesion detection candidate region, wherein the detection is performed on the determined lesion detection candidate region.
