1. A light emitting device comprising:
a package having a recess which includes a bottom surface and comprising:
a first electrode provided at a first part of the bottom surface;a second electrode provided at a second part of the bottom surface; anda resin portion provided between the first electrode and the second electrode at a third part of the bottom surface; a first light emitting element having a first top surface, a first bottom surface, and a first side surface provided between the first top surface and the first bottom surface, the first light emitting element being provided on the first electrode such that the first bottom surface of the first light emitting element is put on the first part of the bottom surface; a second light emitting element having a second top surface, a second bottom surface, and a second side surface provided between the second top surface and the second bottom surface, the second light emitting element being provided on the first electrode such that the second bottom surface of the second light emitting element is put on the first part of the bottom surface; the first light emitting element and the second light emitting element being provided such that the first side surface is opposite to the second side surface with a gap and such that at least a part of the first side surface does not overlap with the second side surface viewed in a direction perpendicular to the first side surface; a protection element provided on the second electrode at the second part of the bottom surface; and a light reflective material covering the protection element. |
