[Class 38 (i).] A multiple-pin plug coupling is provided with studs 9 on one member that co-operate with slots on the other member to ensure correct relative positions of the pins and sockets. The studs 9 may be on the body 1 or on a separate ring 7 connected to the member 1 by a split ring 6 and annular groove 5 allowing relative rotation. The studs then enter inclined or curved bayonet slots so that on turning the ring 7 by means of handles 8 the pins and sockets are drawn together. The pins and sockets are mounted by means of flanges 13 fitting between insulating plates 3. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a proposal to enlarge the hole in the upper plate 4, Fig. 4 (Cancelled), to permit the resilience of the slit upper end 14 of the socket to be effective. It also describes a contact plate 15 mounted on a spring 16 within the socket abutting against the end of the pin and states that the plate 15 may bear a number. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
