The invention relates to a gas turbine comprising a radial-type turbine wheel and a fixed distributor which is supplied by a volute and which surrounds the wheel. The aforementioned distributor ensures that the inlet gases arriving from a combustion chamber can be conveyed to the periphery of the wheel before passing through said wheel in a centripetal direction. According to the invention, the turbine wheel (1) is solid and comprises first gas channels (6) which pass therethrough from inlets on the periphery thereof to essentially axial outlets. Said channels comprise at least two bends, namely at least one first bend which is disposed in relation to the axial direction and in the direction of rotation of the wheel (1) and at least one second bend which is disposed in relation to the axial direction, said bends directing the gases from the periphery of the wheel (1) to the centre thereof. The first channels (6) of the turbine wheel (1) can be optionally lined with a ceramic-type refractory material and are preferably cone shaped having a section that increases from the inlet to the outlet thereof. |
