An aerosol provision cartridge 30 comprising: a liquid storage region 360 comprising a source liquid comprising: glycerol, propylene glycol, water, nicotine and at least one acid; an aerosol generating region, comprising a wire coil heater 365, in fluid communication with the liquid storage region; and one or more metallic components comprising silver and/or gold, located substantially outside of the aerosol generating region and liquid storage region. The acid in the source liquid is an organic acid, either levulinic or benzoic wherein the acid is present in an amount of less than 1 meq relative to nicotine. The one or more metallic components are located entirely outside of the aerosol generating region and the liquid storage region and comprise at least one component selected from: an electrode 375, a connecting ring 370 and an outer housing 35. Further claimed is an aerosol provision system comprising the aerosol provision cartridge 30 and a device comprising a body section comprising a rechargeable power source, a control unit and one or more input means, wherein the device is configured to supply power to the aerosol provision cartridge in order to generate an aerosol in response to input from a user. |
