[Class 100 (ii).] A machine for making cardboard box blanks comprises a creasing blade 60 for forming a folding crease 2 in the blank 1. It is carried by a press bar 44 that is reciprocated vertically by cranks 50 on a driving shaft 45, and co-operates with bars 68, Fig. 18, that are mounted in a slot in the work table 20. The bars 68 are pivoted at their lower ends, where means is provided for adjusting the normal separation of their upper ends. The plate 60 carries a frame 71 in which flaps 72 are pivoted for upward movement against springs, not shown. When the press bar 44 descends, the plate 60, frame 71, and flaps 72 co-operate with the bars 68 and with recesses 78 in the work table to form the crease. |
