The invention relates to a plasticiser unit for an injection moulding machine, an extruder or the like, comprising a housing cylinder (1); at least one plasticising screw (2) rotatably driven in said housing cylinder; a liquid feed device (3) upstream of the outlet end (4) of the housing cylinder (1) for introducing a liquid into at least one synthetic material to be plasticised in the plasticising unit; at least one liquid connection adapter insert (6, 6') in which a liquid feed channel (25) is disposed; at least one receptacle (8) placed in the cylinder wall (7) and opening into the screw chamber (5) via an access opening (31) for the liquid connection adapter insert (6, 6'); a valve arrangement (29) which is mounted on the liquid connection adapter insert (6, 6') and by means of which the liquid feed channel (25) can be closed off in the region of the adapter insert (6, 6'); and at least one liquid supply device (9, 10) which has a liquid pump (12, 13) having a liquid reservoir (16, 17) and is connected to a liquid connecting pipe (26, 26') of the valve arrangement (29). |
