[Class 132 (ii).] In a golf tee of the kind comprising a ball-supporting member F, Fig. 1, revolubly carried by a spiked anchor-member A having a shoulder E to limit the extent of its entry into the ground, the supporting member is formed of a strip of non- metallic, semi-rigid or flexible material and is provided with a slit, closed at each end, whereby it may be removably attached to the anchormember by passing it over the head B. The ball-supporting member is provided at its free end with a cup H to receive the ball, and formed of leather fibre or other pliable material sufficiently stiff to be self-supporting but readily bendable to allow the height of its free end to be varied. The anchor-member may be formed with two shoulders, Fig. 6, and its spike D may have a slight twist. Suitable materials for the anchor-member comprise aluminium or other light metal or alloy, xylonite and bakelite.</p> |
