<p>346,575. Rotary sewage distributers. HARTLEY, E., Kearsley Chambers, Shelton Old Road, Stoke-on-Trent. April 14, 1930, No. 11802. [Class 69 (iii).] Rotary distributers of the kind described in Specification 261,852, [Class 69 (iii), Spray-producers &c.], have the suspension cables connected to a feed pan so mounted on the stationary feed column that it is free to rock relativelv thereto to allow for irregularities on the running track. A central feed column 1, Figs. 1 and 2, is provided at the top with a ball bearing supporting a yoke 3 from which the feed pan 6 is suspended by links 4 pivoted thereto. The bottom of the feed pan is provided with the stuffing-box described in Specification 331,103, [Class 69 (iii), Spray-producers &c.], the clearance of which allows limited rocking movements relatively to the supply column. An arched member 18 is carried by the pan 6 to which the cables 12, Fig. 3, which support the feed arms are connected. The cables 12 may be looped round links 19, Fig. 8, pivoted to the bridge. The feed pan may carry one feed arm 7, provided with spray nozzles and carrying an adjustable weight 21 to balance the arms 10, 11, Fig. 5, and a water-wheel 13 on the other side. One of the arms 10 is provided with spray nozzles while the other feeds the water-wheel 13. To prevent access of sewage to the arms 9, 10 before the water-wheel is supplied inverted U -bends 15 are provided in the pipes 9, 10.</p> |
