A hydraulic pump of a radial piston type, comprises: a plurality of pistons arranged along a radial direction of the hydraulic pump; a plurality of cylinders for guiding the pistons so that the pistons are slidable along the radial direction; a cylinder block in which a plurality of cylinder block segments are arranged in a circumferential direction of the hydraulic pump, each of the cylinder block segments being provided with at least one of the cylinders; and a ring cam for reciprocating each of the pistons in each of the cylinders, the ring cam including a plurality of cam segments arranged in the circumferential direction of the hydraulic pump, wherein a length in the circumferential direction of each of the cylinder block segments is greater than a length in the circumferential direction of the cam segment which is covered by said each of the cylinder block segments.
