A quilt having first and second parts 9, 10, each part having a different thermal resistance to the other. Each part has uppermost and lowermost surfaces, and a channel wall 15 disposed at an end of the part. The channel wall is a flat surface which extends between respective ends of the uppermost and lowermost surfaces of the part, and is oriented generally perpendicularly the surfaces. Several hook and loop fasteners 11-14 are present on each flat surface and are used to releasably attach the two quilt parts together. The quilt parts may also include one or more attachment portions (26/27, fig 5) to releasably attach the quilt to overlying or underlying further quilt parts. An advantage of the invention is that each of two users of the quilt as a whole may choose a quilt part of their desired thermal resistance, and then attach the two parts together. |
