A portable hard-surface cleaning appliance (10; 150; 250) comprising a spray nozzle (84; 204; 262) for spraying cleaning fluid onto a hard surface to be cleaned, a reservoir (92; 190; 290) for the cleaning fluid, a manually drivable pump (64; 182; 261) comprising a first pump part (70; 184; 259) which is movable back and forth in a pumping direction relative to a second pump part (65; 186; 260) for conveying cleaning fluid from the reservoir to the spray nozzle, and a mop pad support (12; 152; 252) which is coupled to the first pump part (70; 184; 259) and manually moveable relative to the second pump part (65; 186; 260) and on which a mop pad can be detachably fastened for distributing the cleaning fluid on the hard surface. To reduce the risk of jamming of the first pump part, it is proposed for the mop pad support (12; 152; 252) to be moveably mounted on a guide part (34; 166; 256) via a support part (24; 154; 254) and to be moveable relative to the first pump part (70; 184; 259).
