a) receiving information from vehicle-to-vehicle communication unit relating to a deceleration of a vehicle-in-front
b) detecting a decrease in distance to a closest vehicle-in-front by a vehicle sensor system in the vehicle;
c) issuing an alert to the driver of the vehicle as a response to step b.
