A circumferential clamp arrangement 310 for coupling a tidal turbine to a support member comprises two arms 314a, 314c controlled by two drives 316a 316b. The drives 316 may comprise lead screws, or a single lead screw with right hand and left hand thread portions for the respective arms. Alternatively the drives may be hydraulic, and may comprise a travel limiting port 424 to selectively limit opening or closing of the clamp, so that it can be driven to free, rotatable, and clamped configurations. The actuators may be mounted to an anchor which allows a degree of float, so that the clamp is retained on one of the components to be clamped, but is allowed limited movement in operation. |
