Provided is a method for manufacturing a single cut sheet of absorbent article by cutting a sheet-like member that includes a plurality of absorbent articles which continue in a continuous direction at a boundary portion between the absorbent articles adjacent in the continuous direction. This method includes: conveying the sheet-like member which is stretchable in the continuous direction in an extended state in the continuous direction with the continuous direction being the conveyance direction by holding the sheet-like member at least in the portions further toward the center in the continuous direction of the absorbent articles than the boundary portions thereof; and cutting the absorbent article most downstream in the conveyance direction from the sheet-like member conveyed in the conveyance direction. When cutting, the position at which the sheet-like member is cut is moved in a CD direction that intersects with both the conveyance direction and a thickness direction of the sheet-like member so that the part of the sheet-like member that is cut successively contracts toward the portion toward the center in the conveyance direction.
